Managing Director Peter Pullen

Peter Pullen has been in the car trade now for over 35 years and has a wealth of experience. Peter trained as a panel beater when leaving school and completed his city and guilds apprenticeship after 3 years. After becoming a qualified panel beater Peter went on to work at various garages over the Farham and Portsmouth area gaining valuable experience.

Eventually the time came to join with Eric and Graham to form Mechelec Garage services. Peter has run and overseen the accident and repair work and the commercial services and 26 years later he is still at the heart of Mechelec organising and overseeing the day to day running of the company.

Eric Cooper Director

Eric Cooper trained as a Mechanic and completed his apprenticeship after leaving school. Eric also has 35 years’ experience in car mechanic’s and perfected his trade working around the Fareham area before joining with the other Directors to start Mechelec. Since the start of Mechelec Eric has over seen and run the mechanical and electrical departments, also becoming a qualified MOT tester, and continues to run the departments.

Graham Lee Director

Graham Lee has also been in the car trade for over 35 years, first training as a stores man. Graham worked in parts and stores in different garages learning all the information he uses today. After joining Mechelec Graham has run the reception and the parts departments for the last 30 years. Graham also helps with the estimating and pricing of jobs, and is still organising and running the reception to date.

Colin Callaway

Colin Callaway formerly of Sparshatts has been associated with the removal industry for many years, starting as an apprentice, to become a fully skilled coachbuilder. Colin then progressed to a works foreman and eventually entering into the sales sector in 1982 with the initial task of setting up accounts and offering technical advice with a good understanding of the product being sold. With the demise of Sparshatts Colin was given the opportunity to help form Mechelec Bodies with the full support of the fellow directors of Mechelec. Colin now manages this new venture running a team of bodybuilders and securing new orders.
